Susan A. Brewer was born in Oneida, New York. She earned a B.A. in American Studies at Allegheny College, a master’s degree in International History at the London School of Economics, and a Ph.D. in American history at Cornell University. For 25 years, she served as professor of history at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she specialized in American Foreign Relations.  

She is the author of books and articles and has delivered presentations at universities, museums and historical societies, academic conferences, teacher workshops, libraries, and churches. She now lives with her husband Bob Erickson in the Adirondack Mountains.
